1.Suction pipe diameter of suction pipeline: the suction pipe diameter should be the same as or slightly larger than the inlet diameter of slurry pump. The principle is to avoid cavitation of the pump and avoid slurry deposition in the pipeline.

Suction gate valve: in order to facilitate the maintenance of the pump, the suction gate valve shall be set with the same diameter as the suction pipe diameter. The expansion joint should be set between the suction inlet and the suction pipe of the slurry pump to facilitate the disassembly and assembly of the pump.

2.Discharge pipe diameter of discharge pipeline: the discharge pipe diameter is related to slurry properties and settling velocity. Generally, the discharge pipe diameter is equal to or slightly larger than the outlet diameter of slurry pump.

Outlet gate valve: the outlet gate valve shall be the same as the discharge pipe diameter.

Pressure gauge: located on the straight pipe section between the slurry pump outlet and the first valve. Pipeline layout: the pipe diameter should consider the system resistance, the critical settling velocity of slurry and other comprehensive factors. The suction pipe should be as short and straight as possible. At the suction of the pump, it is better to have a straight pipe section with the same diameter as the inlet, and its length should not be less than 3 times of the inlet diameter. The velocity in the suction pipe is generally 1.5-3.0m/s, which depends on the settling velocity of the slurry. When high position layout is adopted, the suction pipe of the pump should avoid the formation of steam cavity, and the upper bus is recommended to be a horizontal reducer. When using valve to regulate flow, the regulating valve should be set at the pump outlet, and it is not allowed to use valve to regulate the inlet pipeline, so as to avoid cavitation.
